SCOUT GROUPS IN MONTGOMERYSHIRE

At the January census in 2011, there were 352 members of Scouting in Montgomeryshire - youth members from 6 to 25, plus adult leaders, assistants, skills instructors and administrators.

Unlike most Areas or Counties, which are subdivided into Districts, rural Montgomeryshire consists of just one District, also called Montgomeryshire, which currently has nine Scout Groups, whose members can be aged between 6 and 14. We also have Explorers (14-18 year olds) based alongside five of our Groups, although Explorer Units are actually run at the District/Area level.

Abermule

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We meet at the Community Centre on a Wednesday.

Four Crosses & District

We are planning to open a Scout Troop in Four Crosses in September 2011. There are taster sessions on Monday July 4th and Monday July 11th 2011 from 7.30pm-9.00pm. Please contact Chris Gilliard on 01691 831418 for more information.
