SCOUT GROUPS IN MONTGOMERYSHIRE

At the January census in 2009, there were 411 members of Scouting in Montgomeryshire - youth members from 6 to 25, plus adult leaders, assistants, skills instructors and administrators.

Unlike most Areas or Counties, which are subdivided into Districts, rural Montgomeryshire consists of just one District, also called Montgomeryshire, which currently has nine Scout Groups, whose members can be aged between 6 and 14. We also have Explorers (14-18 year olds) based alongside five of our Groups, although Explorer Units are actually run at the District/Area level.

Abermule

Beavers and Cubs. We meet at the Community Centre on a Wednesday.

Guilsfield

Scouts, plus an associated Explorer Unit. We meet at the Jubilee Hut.

Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant
