We have a new acting Area Commissioner for Montgomeryshire, Pete Evans. Peter has lived near Adfa for the last 3 years with his wife Amanda and an assortment of dogs, cats and other pets… He works for The LEGO Group and is based from home although his job as Director of Service & Performance Management means that, in normal times, he travels a lot to Denmark, Czech Republic, Singapore and Mexico… To introduce himself he has added the following message:
“Hi Everyone! I am super-excited to come back to Scouting after many years. My fondest memories are from when as a young boy I was part of 1st Toddington, 20th Luton Scout Group… The Scouts gave me many opportunities for learning, adventure and friendship which I cherish to this day… Now, some 50 years later, I want to give something back and I think that, given my current work situation, this is the best way to do it 😊
I obviously have a lot of catching up to do and a lot to learn. So, over the next few weeks and months I will be contacting many of you to learn about you, to learn about Scouting in Montgomeryshire and find out how I can be the best AC that I can possibly be for you… Clearly this will need to be by phone or on-line but I hope that we can all meet soon in person as we work together to bring the best possible Scouting experience for our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Leaders”
