Penwythnos Hwylio Llyn Brenig Sailing Weekend

Come and join us at LlynBrenig on our sailing weekends and learn to sail under expert tuition!

Whether you are new to sailing or have previous experience our expert team will be on hand to teach you all the tricks of the trade!

You will be taught basic seamanship such as; knots, bends and hitches, the basic points of sailing, capsize and recovery drills, launching and rigging. In single, double and multi-person boats plus logging sailing time for future advancement.

You can work towards the new Scout staged badges, Sailing, Nautical skills and Time on the Water, as well as Nationally recognised RYA awards!

All the boats are provided. All you need to bring is personal waterproofs, buoyancy aid (50N), sutible footwear , clothing for under waterproofs (preferably wetsuits), Towel,  helmet, changes of clothing and a packed lunch! Limited number of buoyancy aid's and helmets can be provided by prior arrangements.

Race training and racing with a prize for the winner (to make themselves know at the morning brief on Saturday morning, must have a minimum of RYA Youth 2 or of that standard).

Early booking is advisable. Numbers on this event are limited to only 41. This is therefore offered on the usual first come - first served basis. Places on these days get booked up fast, we never meet demand!

Camping is available at http://www.caer-mynydd-park.co.uk/
which is only a 15 minutes drive away, please make your own arrangements with the site. The Sailing Weekend price does not include camping.
